Mark Abels, CEO & Owner
Continuing the legacy his father began, Mark worked his way through the various departments of the company, from manufacturing to accounting. By age 30, he’d taken what he’d learned and succeeded his father as CEO. Utilizing his Management Information Systems degree from the University of Texas, Mark has streamlined the company’s processes while continuing the high standard of customer service Selco is known for. Under Mark’s leadership, Selco continues to provide the most innovative customization options and most reliable promotional and recognition watches available.
Vi Smith, Inside Sales Manager
Since 1968, Vi has worked for Selco four different times (You should ask her about it!). Today, her extensive experience and expertise is invaluable to our customers. Distributors know they can work with her on both the product design and promotional side of development. And they appreciate the fact that Vi can provide a short-list of the best options to meet their needs, without them having to do all the legwork. Vi is a treasure here at Selco, and we’re glad she’s here to stay.
Theresa Brauer, Accounting Manager
From internal organization to handling customer accounts, Theresa ensures that all of Selco’s processes are running as smoothly as possible. Though often behind-the-scenes, her dedication to efficiency and accuracy benefits our customers by keeping Selco operating at top speed. Customers have Theresa to thank for seamless, straightforward invoicing and order processing.
Larry Abels, Chairman Emeritus
Recognized as one of the founding fathers of promotional timepieces, Larry’s legacy spans back to the roots of the industry. Working in his father-in-law’s jewelry business, he rose through the ranks to become chief diamond buyer and manager of several locations. Eventually, he championed the idea of recognition and promotional timepieces and launched a new company division that lives today as Selco. Though Larry has stepped away from day-to-day operations, he still advises the Selco team.
